The Right Track education program has been developed for teachers to use to complement our youth engagement activities.
The teacher resource kit gives teachers an easy and concise way to teach students why there is a code of behavior for public transport by looking at the rights and responsibilities of all passengers.
The teacher resource kits support the K-10 Syllabus and Curriculum Frameworks. There are cross-curricular links in English, Art, Health, Drama and Media Studies, and the activities reinforce the values of unity, collaboration and cooperation. The Right Track program is an endorsed Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) program under the Personal Development category.
There is now an additional teacher resource booklet focusing directly on pedestrian crossing safety; Trains move faster than you. These resources and activities can be used in conjunction with the overall Right Track program or by themselves to highlight the importance of responsible behavior around pedestrian crossings.
